Wire Sawing is a highly effective diamond cutting procedure, and can be used in several situations where access & noise are concerns. It is an ideal application for heavily reinforced structures that need removing quickly. Structures such as beams, bridges and foundations are typical examples of where this application would be used. Wire saws are also operational under water.
The procedure consists of wrapping a diamond-beaded wire around the structure that needs to be removed. Subsequently the wire is fed into a system of pulleys and then powered by a main drive head. As the wire cuts, it is pulled into the pulley mechanism and stored allowing a much greater area to be cut in one set up. This provides you with the same benefits as stitch drilling but at a much quicker and cost effective rate. There are different sizes of wire saws for different applications that can be run either by 3phase or diesel power depending on location and suitability.
